Vincent Kompany’s night to remember at the Etihad

It was a night to remember as his Bill for Vincent Kompany at the Etihad along with Also the Premier League All-Stars Finished in a draw.

Himself had been ruled from this clash with a hamstring problem, joking ahead of kick-off that it was fitting for him to sit the game out .
There was plenty for its hugely popular daybed – that abandoned City after 11 years in the club at the conclusion of last season to enjoy in front of 51,602 adoring fans.
But together with the Premier League champions in Norwich City on Saturday night – a match you can see live on Sky Sports Premier League – the Man City Legends’ director Pep Guardiola took less than half a hour to haul off both David Silva and Sergio Aguero.
Former Man City forward Mario Balotelli has been in attendance at the Etihad, even though the Italian wasn’t in action on the pitch.
And perhaps that’s because there were several suggestions that Balo – that played between 2010 and 2013 for City – had not really told his employers, Brescia, at training first thing on Thursday morning together with the player due back, about his whereabouts!
Even the Man City Legends made a dream start to proceedings by scoring virtually straight from the kick-off since the pace of Martin Petrov down the left saw before the City winger fired home, Gary Neville left for dead.
And that first-minute strike caused a debate between Neville and his defender Jamie Carragher concerning that of the veteran Sky Sports commentators would be to blame for its goal – watch the video to make your mind up!
Former Man United and England midfielder Paul Scholes played with the game for its Premier League All-Stars after hanging up his boots – not that you’d have understood from the imperious display of the 44-year-old.
And the highlight of the performance was this impudent, no-look flick in the second half…
There was a moment at the beginning of the next half when Francois Kompany, Vincent’s younger brother, was brought on.
The plays as a left-back for Queen First Division B facet Roeselare, with Vincent stating his regret of the night wasn’t being able to play alongside Francois at exactly the identical team.
For Neville, his game lasted only 35 minutes prior to the right-back needed to be substituted with a pulled hamstring, continued running after Craig Bellamy.
The 44-year-old claimed it was the first time he had suffered such an injury, when quizzed by Geoff Shreeves!
After the game, Robin van Persie and Carragher were both in agreement regarding who was to blame for your Man City Legends’ quickfire opener…
And it had been left to the guy himself to have the final word in an emotional night to the Belgian, since he thanked the fans for recognising his achievements, in addition to helping to raise essential funds for his charity, including all the profits from the match being contributed to Tackle4MCR, dedicated to combating homelessness in Manchester.
